Description

Minkiani Pass is at the base of the Dhauladhar range, between Chamba and Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh. Gaddis (semi nomadic shepherds) use this pass to cross over with their cattle into the Chamba valley from Kangra and vice versa. On the other side, just below the Minkiani Pass is a small glacial lake called Kareri Lake. One gets sweeping views of Chamba Valley and the Pir Panjal Range from the top of this pass. You cross alpine pastures, woods, shimmering streams, and picturesque landscapes on this trail.
